Tennessee Faint Goats are very easy-going and convivial, and hence very easy to handle and maintain. They are well accustomed to cool regions, although they should not be placed in droughty barns. They may refuse to walk outside in cold weather.

Fainting Goats have many other names, such as Scare Goats, Nervous Goats, Stiff Legged, Wooden Legged and Myotonic Goats. If surprised or frightened, their muscles grow suddenly stiff and cause them to collapse. This condition lasts about 10-15 seconds and poses no danger to the goat’s health.
