Almost all donkeys of this type have a “cross”, it is a dorsal stripe of darker hair down the length of the back. It is crossed by a shoulder stripe across the top of the body at the withers and showing down the shoulders.

The size of miniature donkeys varies from 26 to 36 inches at the withers. An average height of these mules is about 33-34 inches. One of the more unusual colors, such as spotted, white, sorrel, dark brown or black and d good body and leg conformation make a donkey really valuable.
