Miniature Donkeys originated on Mediterranean Islands of Sicily and Sardinia. They measure 32-34 inches tall, and due to their extraordinary size, they are very friendly and easy to maintain. They occur in several colors. Such as sorrel, white, black chocolate, and spotted. There is no telling, how many species there are in the world, because there are many unregistered donkeys. Some accounts state, that there are about 10,000 to 15,000 Miniature Donkeys in the USA.
