Mule foot is a species of swine, featuring a distinctive solid hoof, like that of a mule. The origin of the breed is not identified, although in 1916, Mr.F.D.Coburn in his classic book "Swine in America" named several states, where these swine had or might have originated. He mentioned Arkansas, Missouri, Indiana, Iowa, as well as Mexico. Now it is a very rare breed, and it is under the threat of extinction.
