Painted Desert Sheep feature a unique spotted coloring of the coat, and they can develop large round horns. They change coat according to seasons, having thick deer-like coat in winter and slick hair in summer. Rams can develop a gorgeous mane on the neck. Painted Desert Sheep can vary in size, rams averaging 25-30 inches tall and 75-200 pounds in weight, and ewes 21-25 inches tall and 65-120 pounds in weight.
